Church Groups

Though Moon Shadow Lodge is not exclusively a church retreat center, it is ideal for Christian retreats of all kinds. We offer a discount for Christian marriage retreats, “growth” groups, youth groups, men's and women's retreats, or much-needed decompression sessions for church leaders.

The cost is a flat rate of $500 per night, plus tax, and we do honor tax exemption forms. Our minimum booking requirement is 2 nights, no matter how many people sleep in the lodge. It can sleep up to 26 and comfortably accommodate up to 40 people for daytime meetings.

Family Reunions & Corporate Retreats

If you’re looking for a place for a corporate retreat or your good, old-fashioned family reunion, the flat rate is $700 per night, plus tax, with a two-night minimum. 

Deposit, Cancellation & Taxes

To reserve your date of choice, we require a deposit of 50% of the total cost. If you decide to cancel your event and want your deposit back, you must give us a 90-day cancellation notice.

Unfortunately, we have to charge Tennessee State Sales Tax (9.25%) and the Hotel/Motel Tax (5%). We don’t like to do it, but if we’re going to share this beautiful property, it’s just part of the bargain.

For exemption from state sales tax, non-profit organizations should present their original Tennessee Tax-exempt Certificate and include a copy of the certificate with payment in the form of the organization’s “letterhead” check. If you have questions about that, just let us know. Every group must pay Hotel/Motel tax. Again, sorry. We know that’s no fun, but at least Moon Shadow Lodge is worth every penny.

General Information

To help keep the lodge affordable, we don’t provide bed linens, towels, or dish clothes for the kitchen, so be sure to pack bedding of some sort and to put someone in charge of wrangling paper products—napkins, paper towels, and toilet paper— as well as trash bags.

Don’t worry: After you make your reservation, we’ll mail you check-in guidelines and a packing list, along with a checkout procedure sheet.

Please don’t bring your pets. Let’s just say that we’ve had “issues” in the past. Who knew that black bears love chasing dogs?! Just kidding.

Also, please don’t smoke in Moon Shadow Lodge. We want to keep it shipshape for all future guests.

In the past, we allowed guest to bring guns for a bit of target practice out in the boonies.  As you can imagine, a few guest ruined the gun thing for everyone.  Feel free to bring your ammo as long as you leave the gun at home.
